Hidden Corners in Cats: An Ultrasonographic Exploration — Ümit Özcan
In this hands-on workshop focused on the finer points of ultrasonographic assessment in cats, participants had the opportunity to evaluate anatomically challenging regions and important ultrasonographic findings encountered in clinical practice.
As part of the Congress social programme, the ’80s and ’90s Party brought colleagues together with popular songs of the era. With a live performance by Ege, we paused the busy scientific programme for an enjoyable evening and created unforgettable memories together.

The 5th TSAVA Anadolum Symposium was held on 3–5 April 2026 in the captivating atmosphere of Mardin.
Bringing together colleagues from cities across Anatolia around science, culture and solidarity, the symposium featured Duygu Dalğın, Halil Mahzunlar, Kemal Altunatmaz and Ümit Özcan, who shared current scientific knowledge and professional experience.
Integrated with Mardin’s millennia-old past, stone architecture and multicultural character, the scientific programme offered participants a rich and unforgettable experience not only professionally but culturally as well.
This year, a comprehensive cultural tour was included in the Anadolum Symposium programme for the first time. Following the scientific sessions, our participants had the opportunity to explore the historical and cultural heritage of Mardin and its surroundings together.

Inspired by Mardin’s ancient stone city and the legend of Şahmeran, this work reflects a deep-rooted heritage shaped by wisdom, healing and living together. Rising above the Mesopotamian Plain, Mardin carries knowledge passed down through generations in its stories, symbols and timeless architecture — recalling an ancient tradition in which care becomes memory, and memory becomes a living heritage.

TSAVA Anatolian Heritage Collection
The 4th TSAVA Anadolum Symposium was held in four different cities in 2025 as part of the PetX Anadolum symposium series, brought to life in collaboration with Boehringer Ingelheim.
This scientific journey, stretching from Bursa to İzmir and from Ankara to Antalya, brought current knowledge, professional experience and PetX’s inspiring style of storytelling to colleagues in different regions of Anatolia.

The 3rd TSAVA Anadolum Symposium was held in 2024 through four separate meetings spanning different regions of Anatolia.
The İzmir, Mersin and Samsun legs were organised in collaboration with the Royal Canin Vet Symposium, bringing current scientific knowledge to colleagues in different cities. The fourth meeting, held in Muğla, was brought to life with the support of the Muğla Chamber of Veterinarians.

The second gathering of the Anadolum Symposia — launched with TSAVA’s aim of carrying science to cities across Anatolia — was held once again in Gaziantep on 8–9 September 2023.
Sponsored by Petline and organised at Onat Kutlar Sahnesi with the valued contributions of Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality and the Gaziantep Chamber of Veterinarians, the symposium once again brought our colleagues together around science, experience and solidarity.
Enriched by the scientific presentations of Murat Sarıerler, Ateş Barut, Duygu Dalğın and Bülent Ulutaş, the programme hosted two productive days of sharing current knowledge and strengthening the bonds among colleagues.
This second gathering, held amid Gaziantep’s deep-rooted culture and strong craft tradition, reinforced the continuity of the Anadolum journey while once again recalling that knowledge, when shared and shaped with care, becomes a lasting heritage.

TSAVA Anatolian Heritage Collection
The 1st Anadolum Symposium — the first step in TSAVA’s vision of carrying science to cities across Anatolia — was held on 9–10 September 2022 in the unique atmosphere of Gaziantep.
Sponsored by Petline and organised with the valued contributions of Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality and the Gaziantep Chamber of Veterinarians, the symposium brought together colleagues from all over Türkiye around science and solidarity.
Enriched by the current scientific knowledge and professional experience of Mustafa Arıcan, Nilüfer Aytuğ, Ateş Barut, Duygu Dalğın, Murat Şaroğlu, Pınar Alkım Ulutaş, Haluk Gülmez, Halil Mahzunlar and Bülent Ulutaş, the programme offered participants two productive and inspiring days.
Combining scientific exchange with Gaziantep’s deep-rooted history, rich culture and distinctive hospitality, this special gathering was not merely a symposium but the beginning of a strong educational journey that would extend to cities across Anatolia.
In 2026, TSAVA launched the TSAVA Anatolian Heritage Collection to preserve the historical and cultural heritage of the cities where the Anadolum Symposia have been held.
The piece in the collection dedicated to the 1st Anadolum Symposium and to Gaziantep draws its inspiration from the timeless mosaics of Zeugma.

TSAVA Anatolian Heritage Collection
Brought to life through the collaboration of TSAVA and Chi Türkiye, “A Stronger View of Clinical Practice: Campus Tour” introduced veterinary faculty students to current approaches in integrative veterinary medicine.
Prof. Dr Mushtaq Memon, visiting Türkiye from the United States, met veterinary faculty students at four different universities as part of the campus tour. His presentations addressed the place of integrative medicine in veterinary practice, the contribution of different therapeutic approaches to clinical work, and the new perspectives they offer for the future of veterinary medicine.
At the first stop of the campus tour, Prof. Dr Mushtaq Memon shared his knowledge and experience on integrative veterinary medicine and clinical applications with veterinary faculty students.
At the İzmir meeting, students had the opportunity to explore the different approaches integrative medicine brings to clinical practice, together with international examples of application.
The Ankara meeting took place as part of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Career and Industry Meeting Days. Sessions were held in which Prof. Dr Mushtaq Memon shared his professional experience and scientific approach to integrative veterinary medicine with students.
At the final stop of the campus tour, Prof. Dr Mushtaq Memon met students of Bursa Uludağ University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and delivered his presentation on integrative medicine and clinical applications.
Spanning four cities and four universities, the campus tour enabled students to meet an international scientist directly, to become familiar with different therapeutic approaches, and to view clinical practice from a broader perspective.
This organisation, carried out jointly by TSAVA and Chi Türkiye, underscored the value of sharing scientific knowledge not only in congress halls but also on the campuses where the veterinarians of the future are trained.
Chi Türkiye brings the educational work of Chi University in Türkiye — an international provider of training in integrative veterinary medicine and Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine — to veterinarians and veterinary faculty students.
It organises theoretical and practical training programmes covering veterinary acupuncture as well as herbal therapy, food therapy, Tui-na and other integrative approaches. By bringing scientific knowledge together with clinical practice, these programmes aim to give veterinarians a more comprehensive perspective on patient assessment and treatment.
Chi Türkiye training ensures that international content reaches colleagues in Türkiye through Turkish translation and hands-on instruction.
Brought to life through the collaboration of TSAVA and VetTalks, the A Drop of Blood Symposium was held to promote the accurate interpretation of blood data and a holistic approach to the pathways that lead to diagnosis.
Treating blood analyses — one of the fundamental diagnostic tools in veterinary medicine — as far more than numerical results alone, the symposium offered participants a fresh perspective that questions the clinical meaning behind laboratory data.

In workshops set up within the symposium venue, participants had the opportunity to explore the topics covered in the scientific sessions in a practical setting. In this way, the transfer of theoretical knowledge into clinical practice was supported, while participants were offered an interactive learning environment they could experience directly.
Despite Antalya’s sunshine and all the amenities offered by Nirvana Cosmopolitan, around 400 of our colleagues showed sustained interest in the scientific sessions over three days, and the energy in the halls never waned.
Where knowledge meets case experience and laboratory results meet clinical reasoning, the A Drop of Blood Symposium once again demonstrated that blood is not merely a result — when read correctly, it is one of the most powerful guides on the path to diagnosis.
