Our International Memberships
The Turkish Small Animal Veterinary Association is represented internationally as TSAVA.
Our Association is a member of WSAVA and FECAVA, organisations dedicated to advancing scientific, ethical and professional standards in small animal veterinary medicine.
Through these memberships, we help our colleagues in Türkiye connect with the international veterinary community and gain access to current scientific resources, professional developments and international educational opportunities. We also represent the experience, needs and perspectives of Türkiye’s small animal veterinary profession on international platforms.
WSAVA
World Small Animal Veterinary Association
WSAVA is a global professional organisation that brings together small animal veterinary associations from countries around the world. It works to improve the health and welfare of companion animals, advance veterinary standards and strengthen global collaboration among veterinary professionals.
TSAVA is WSAVA’s sole member association in Türkiye. Through this membership, our Association:
- Represents small animal veterinarians in Türkiye on international platforms.
- Shares WSAVA’s scientific work, global guidelines and professional resources with our colleagues.
- Facilitates participation in international congresses, educational programmes and scientific collaborations.
- Helps raise awareness in Türkiye of global developments in animal health and welfare.
- Supports the communication of Türkiye’s professional experience and needs to the international veterinary community.

FECAVA
Federation of European Companion Animal Veterinary Associations
FECAVA is a professional federation that brings together companion animal veterinary associations across Europe. It works to support veterinarians’ continuing professional development, improve standards of clinical practice and serve as a collective voice for the profession at the European level.
As a member of FECAVA, TSAVA represents Türkiye’s small animal veterinary profession within the European veterinary community. Through this membership, our Association:
- Exchanges knowledge and experience with professional veterinary organisations across Europe.
- Provides colleagues with access to scientific education, publications, guidelines and professional resources.
- Follows professional developments and good clinical practices across Europe.
- Contributes to initiatives concerning veterinarians’ working conditions, professional well-being and ethical practice.
- Supports the representation of veterinarians’ views and needs in Türkiye at the European level.
